CBI to Reconstruct Actress Twisha Sharma’s Death Using Dummy as Probe Intensifies

Bhopal: The investigation into the death of actress and model Twisha Sharma is set to enter a crucial phase, with the investigating agency planning a reconstruction of the events surrounding her death.
According to reports, investigators will use an 80-kilogram dummy to recreate the process by which Twisha was allegedly brought down from the hanging position in which she was found. The reconstruction is expected to take place at the residence where she was discovered dead.
The investigative team is likely to take Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, to the scene as part of the exercise.
During questioning, Samarth reportedly told investigators that he had lowered Twisha from the hanging position, while his mother had untied the knot around her neck. Investigators are now trying to verify whether these statements are consistent with the physical evidence and the circumstances at the scene.
As part of the reconstruction, Samarth may be asked to demonstrate how he allegedly brought the body down, while Giribala may be asked to show how she untied the knot around the neck. The exercise is intended to test the credibility of their accounts and identify any inconsistencies in their story.
Twisha Sharma was found hanging at her marital home on May 12. Investigators believe a belt may have been used in the incident.
Giribala Singh was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday after the Madhya Pradesh High Court canceled her anticipatory bail. A court subsequently remanded both Samarth and Giribala to CBI custody until June 2.
Twisha died just five months after marrying Samarth, a lawyer. The couple reportedly met through a dating app in 2024 and married in December 2025.
Following her death, Twisha's parents alleged that she had been subjected to physical and mental harassment by her husband and his family. WhatsApp conversations reportedly exchanged between Twisha and her mother, Rekha Sharma, have also surfaced. In those messages, Twisha allegedly described feeling trapped in an unhappy marriage and complained of mental harassment and dowry-related pressure from her in-laws.
