Veteran Kerala Footballer P. Paulose Passes Away

Kochi: Veteran Kerala footballer P. Paulose (76), a member of the state team that won the Santosh Trophy for the first time in 1973, passed away on Monday.
A native of Aluva, Paulose was known for his consistent performances as a left wing-back during his playing career. After retiring from active football, he went on to make significant contributions to the sport as an administrator.
Paulose represented Kerala in the Santosh Trophy for eight years and led the team as captain in 1979. He also played for Kerala Premier Tyres during his club career.
For more than three decades, he served in various leadership roles within the Kerala Football Association and was the association’s senior vice-president at the time of his death. His long association with football administration played a key role in strengthening the sport’s organisational structure in the state.
