Ruckus by Youth Congress, KSU Leaders Disrupts Traffic at Malappuram Toll Booth

Malappuram: Youth Congress and KSU leaders created mayhem at the Vettichira toll booth on the national highway, leaving commuters stranded in a traffic jam for hours. KSU State Treasurer Adil and Youth Congress District President Ishtaf were identified as the leaders behind the disruption, which paralysed the toll booth for nearly an hour.

The two leaders alighted from their vehicle, alleging that toll booth staff had behaved improperly, and staged a sit-in on the road, causing a lengthy queue of vehicles. When Kadampauzha police arrived after being informed of the situation, they made no attempt to intervene or disperse the protesters.

The leaders then attempted to physically assault toll booth staff and tried to forcibly raise the toll gate to let vehicles through without payment. The toll booth came to a complete standstill. Police eventually stepped in after about an hour, managed to calm the leaders down, and the two leaders left in their vehicle.
