Pinarayi Vijayan Criticises Police Action Against SFI March in Palakkad

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan has strongly criticised the police action against an SFI march in Palakkad. In a Facebook post, he accused the UDF government of attempting to suppress protests against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls using batons and intoxicated individuals, following the pattern of the Sangh Parivar.

He said the government’s use of criminals to deal with protests was an attempt to suppress democratic dissent.
