London: A group of students attempted to disrupt Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant's lecture at a college of the University of London, bringing the question-and-answer session to an abrupt halt. The incident occurred as the Chief Justice was delivering a talk on international laws related to artificial intelligence.

Students raised questions about the right to dissent in India, but the moderator declined to entertain them on the grounds that they were unrelated to the lecture topic. The event then escalated by students raising questions about the "Cockroach Party" and the Chief Justice's reported remark comparing the youth to cockroaches. Following the heated exchange, Chief Justice Surya Kant left the venue without taking further questions. The CJP shared video footage of the incident on social media, where it gained wide circulation.

The Indian High Commission responded by describing the students' conduct as discourteous and unbecoming. Chief Justice Surya Kant has not yet commented on the incident.

Meanwhile, Cockroach janata Party is preparing to hold a protest today in Delhi.
