Ranchi Air Ambulance Accident; Seven Dead, Allegations of Safety Lapses

Ranchi: All seven people on board the air ambulance have died after it crashed in Jharkhand's Chatra district. The victims included a patient, a doctor, a nurse, and two pilots. The private air ambulance, which was transporting a patient from Ranchi to Delhi, crashed in a forested area of Chatra. It is unclear whether bad weather or a technical fault in the plane caused the accident. However, allegations have been raised that the use of poorly maintained private aircraft for such services is contributing to such disasters. The plane was completely burnt out.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident. Local residents and human rights activists have blamed the negligence of authorities in conducting fitness checks on private air ambulances as the reason for these repeated accidents. The Chief Minister of Jharkhand has expressed sorrow over the incident and announced financial assistance for the families of the deceased.
Due to the crash site's location in a dense forest, the delay of several hours for the rescue teams to reach the site exacerbated the magnitude of the disaster.
