New Delhi: The Delhi Crime Branch has issued notices to CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, who were arrested for raising the Tricolour at Jantar Mantar. They have been directed to appear at the Crime Branch office in Rajouri Garden at noon on Thursday for questioning.

The notices came after a Special Executive Magistrate granted bail to Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka on Wednesday following seven days in custody. The bail was granted after the Executive Magistrate rejected the Delhi Police’s request to keep the two in custody for another three days.

The Delhi Police had transferred the case against the CJP leaders to the Crime Branch over allegations that they had forcibly entered Jantar Mantar, which had been recently designated as a no-protest zone, and allegedly injured security personnel during the protest.
