Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has set a historic milestone by recording its highest ever single day ticket revenue. On September 8, 2025, KSRTC earned 10.19 crore rupees in operating revenue. Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar shared the news with the public through a Facebook post.

This achievement surpasses the previous record of 9.22 crore rupees, collected during the Sabarimala season on December 23, 2024. The earlier Onam peak stood at 8.29 crore rupees, recorded on September 14, 2024. On the latest record day, KSRTC operated 4,607 buses, compared to 4,567 on the earlier record date.

According to KSRTC, the milestone was made possible through the tireless teamwork of its CMD and employees, transforming what was once thought impossible into reality.

The introduction of new buses and initiatives such as digital payments, travel cards, and the Chalo app have enhanced services, winning strong appreciation from passengers.

Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar also extended his gratitude to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the Finance Minister, KSRTC Chairman and Managing Director Dr. P S Pramoj Shankar IOFS, employees, and loyal passengers for their vital role in making this achievement possible.
