KSRTC Launches Gift Packs and Millet Snacks for Children

Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC has begun distributing gift packs to children travelling on long-distance buses, launching the initiative on Children’s Day. The move aims to make journeys more enjoyable for young passengers while encouraging their creativity.

The packs include chocolates, colouring books, crayons, balloons, and facial tissues. Passengers on services passing through Thiruvalla also receive millet snacks, in collaboration with Jagans Millet Bank. The initiative will run for two months and is being rolled out on the newly introduced long-distance AC “Tri-carrier” buses.

Minister K B Ganesh Kumar said the programme aims to promote millets in daily diets and introduce their taste to a wider audience.
