Customs Questions Actor Dulquer Salmaan in Bhutan Car Smuggling Case

Kochi: Actor Dulquer Salmaan was questioned by Customs authorities in connection with the Bhutan car smuggling case. The questioning took place at the Kochi Customs Preventive Office. Customs had earlier seized four vehicles linked to Dulquer Salmaan in connection with the case.

The action is part of 'Operation Numkhor', an initiative aimed at preventing the illegal import of vehicles into India through Bhutan. Among the seized vehicles was a Nissan Patrol used in the Telugu film Lucky Baskhar, in which Dulquer played the lead role.

Earlier, Customs had also seized vehicles including a Land Rover Defender, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Nissan Patrol from Dulquer.

Customs officials are now attempting to establish under what circumstances these vehicles were brought into India based on the documents seized during the investigation.
