Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Welcomes President Droupadi Murmu in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Kerala for a four-day visit, which includes a darshan at Sabarimala. She was welcomed at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport at 6:20 pm by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, and Union Minister George Kurian. She will be staying at Raj Bhavan today.
For the President’s visit, the police have put in place extensive security arrangements. ADGP S Sreejith is overseeing coordination at Sabarimala. The Sabarimala darshan is scheduled for Wednesday. She will depart Thiruvananthapuram by helicopter at 9:20 am, arriving at Nilakkal helipad at 10:20 am. From there, she will proceed by road via Pampa to Sabarimala, staying there from 11:55 am to 12:25 pm, before returning to Raj Bhavan by 5:30 pm.
On Thursday, at 10 am, she will unveil the half-length statue of former President K R Narayanan at the Raj Bhavan lawns. At 12:20 pm, she will attend the centenary celebrations of Sree Narayana Guru Mahasamadhi at Sivagiri, followed by the inauguration of the concluding ceremony of the Platinum Jubilee of St. Thomas College, Pala, at 4:15 pm. She will stay that night at Kumarakom Taj Resort.
On Friday, at 12:10 pm, she will attend the centenary celebrations of St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, and at 1:20 pm, she will depart from Kochi Naval Base to Nedumbassery Airport, returning to Delhi on a special aircraft of the Indian Navy.
