Terrorist Attack in Assam: Four Police Commandos Injured

Dispur: A terrorist attack targeted a police commando camp in Tinsukia district of eastern Assam, leaving four police commandos injured, three of whom are in critical condition. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday.
The attackers hurled grenades and opened fire at the commando camp in Jagun, near the Arunachal Pradesh border. The gunfight lasted for about 30 minutes. The banned organisation, United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA-I), is suspected to be behind the attack.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma condemned the attack, calling it highly reprehensible. He stated that the army and police have launched a joint search operation to capture the culprits, adding that those attempting to disrupt the peace will be brought to justice.
