Chennai: Actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is stunning Tamil Nadu's political establishment, leading in 106 of 234 constituencies — a performance that could rewrite the state's political landscape entirely.

The ruling DMK is leading in 55 seats and has won one, while AIADMK leads in 53, PMK in 5, and Congress in 4. CPI leads in 2 seats and CPI(M) in 1.

In a significant development, Chief Minister M K Stalin is trailing behind the TVK candidate in his own Kolathur constituency, causing deep concern in DMK circles. Vijay himself is maintaining strong leads in both constituencies he is contesting — Tiruchirappali East and Perambur — and appears headed for victory in both.

Celebrations have already started at Vijay's Chennai residence, with family members and supporters rejoicing. TVK workers are holding large victory celebrations across the state. Whether TVK can secure an outright majority of 118 seats remains the central question as counting continues.
