Sent 'I Love You' to Mother; YouTuber Dies by Suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: YouTuber Bonu Komali was found dead at her rental house in Hyderabad. She was 21 years old. The suicide reportedly occurred on Monday morning after she sent a message to her mother saying, "I love you, Mummy."

Komali, a native of Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, was a first-year MBBS student at a private hospital in Hyderabad. She had been living alone there for the past 11 months. Along with her studies, she also created YouTube videos.

On Monday morning, after sending the message to her mother, Sathya Varalakshmi, her phone was switched off. Concerned, a friend visited her flat and found her hanging from a fan.

The initial investigation suggests that the suicide may have been related to a fight with a young man she had been in love with for three years. Police also stated that she had attempted suicide six months ago.

Her body has been shifted to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem. The police have registered a case and begun a formal investigation.
