New Delhi: Indian airlines have resumed flights to Riyadh, which were suspended due to the Iran-Israel conflict. Services that were temporarily suspended because of the war situation in the Middle East resumed operations on Thursday.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has intensified efforts to normalise flight services. In the first phase, Air India and Indigo operated flights from Mumbai to Riyadh. Air India Express has also resumed flights from Kozhikode to Riyadh.

Currently, various services are gradually restoring flights to Jeddah and Muscat. Although the rerouting of flights following the war has caused a significant financial burden, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has stated that it will ensure passengers are not charged excessive ticket prices.

The decision to resume services is a great relief for expatriates who were due to return to Saudi Arabia. The ministry is closely monitoring the situation in the region.
