Restrictions Lifted in Kashmir; Normalcy Restored to Public Life

Sri Nagar: Restrictions imposed in the Kashmir Valley following the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei have been lifted. Life in the valley returned to normal on Saturday after a week of protests and unrest.
Security forces removed barricades from key locations, including Lal Chowk in Srinagar. The strict restrictions imposed after protests around the famous clock tower in Lal Chowk have also been lifted.
Restrictions have been lifted across all parts of the valley. Security officials stated that the situation is currently calm. Following Khamenei's assassination, large-scale protests took place in various parts of the valley.
Authorities had imposed strict restrictions for a week to prevent disruption of law and order. Internet services were restored the day before. On Saturday, shops and markets opened, and public transport resumed.
