Indian Railways Suspends Chief Ticket Inspector After First AC Cabin Turned Into 'Honeymoon Suite'

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Indian Railways has taken strict action after a First AC cabin on a train was decorated like a "honeymoon suite." The Chief Ticket Inspector who was on duty has been suspended.
A case has also been reportedly registered against the decorator who carried out the work. The incident sparked widespread criticism after a video of the decorated coach went viral. The action was taken for allowing excessive decorations inside the coach in violation of Railway rules. The Railways has also ordered a departmental inquiry into the incident. It stated that unauthorized entry into a Railway coach to carry out such work amounted to a serious security lapse.
The decorations were arranged by a private agency named Rahat Room Decoration inside a First AC cabin of the Nandigram Express for a newlywed couple. While the couple was travelling by car from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Jalna Railway Station, the decoration team entered the train coach in advance and completed the decorations before their journey.
