New Delhi: With elections due in various states in India, including Kerala, Parliament is set to dissolve early to allow MPs and ministers to be more active in their constituencies. The main objective behind this move is to provide more time for political leaders to campaign in states where upcoming assembly elections are being held.

The Business Advisory Committee discussed this matter in its meeting on Tuesday, March 24. The only topic discussed was the early adjournment of the Parliament session. There are indications that the government will not recommend formally proroguing or ending the session indefinitely.

The session, which began on March 9, was originally scheduled to continue until April 2. However, with only two weeks remaining before the legislative assembly elections in Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry, there is a possibility that parliamentary proceedings will be temporarily suspended.
