Owners of Goa’s Birch by Romeo Lane Arrested in Thailand After Deadly Fire Kills 25

New Delhi: On Thursday, Thai authorities detained Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, the owners of Goa's Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, which caught on fire, killing 25 people.


Thai law officials arrested the Luthra brothers following the Blue Corner notice issued by Interpol agaist them, based on the inputs of CBI.


According to reports, the brothers will be deported soon.


As per authorities, both brothers left to Phuket in Thailand, minutes after the news of the fire broke. A total of 25 people, including 15 staff died in the deadly fire incident earlier this week. Following the incident, the Goa Police booked the brothers and the managers of the night club.


Meanwhile, the Goa Police will soon file a response against the transit anticipatory bail filed by Saurabh and Gaurav before a Delhi Court. On Wednesday, Rohini Court rejected their plea for immediate relief and protection from arrest and kept the matter pending for hearing for Thursday afternoon.
