The incident occurred when vehicles travelling behind Vijay’s convoy collided with each other. Vijay was en route from Tiruchirappalli International Airport to the party’s meeting venue at Ayyasamypatti in Sengipatti village. A large number of supporters were following his vehicle at the time.
