New Delhi: A solidarity protest is being organized in Delhi to express support for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who was illegally abducted and detained by the United States. The event will take place today at 2 PM at HKS Surjeet Bhavan, with participation from left-wing parties and other secular political groups.

The protest aims to demand an end to US incursion in Venezuela and to call for a halt to what organizers describe as a violation of the country’s sovereignty. Left parties have strongly condemned the US’s alleged abduction of Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

Speakers at the event will include prominent leaders such as M.A. Baby, CPI(M) General Secretary, D. Raja, CPI General Secretary, G. Devarajan, AIFB General Secretary, Ravi Rai, CPI(ML) Liberation, and R.S. Dagar, RSP.

MPs Thiruchi Siva (DMK), Javed Ali Khan (SP), Manoj Jha (RJD), and Sandeep Pathak (AAP) will also participate.

The gathering is expected to emphasize solidarity with Venezuela and raise awareness about the perceived threat to national sovereignty posed by external interference.
