NIA Confirms Delhi Blast as Suicide Bombing; Another Arrest Made

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has confirmed that the explosion near Red fort in Delhi was a terror attack. As part of the probe, Umar’s aide, Ameer Rashid Ali, owner of 120 cars, has been arrested from Delhi. Investigations suggest that Rashid conspired with Umar to carry out the attack.

Authorities have also found that doctors, including Umar, had visited Noah multiple times. Police recovered firearms and spent shells from the blast site. Additional details emerged during questioning of the arrested doctors. Dr Shaheen testified that Umar and other doctors had frequently visited Noah. The NIA has also received information indicating that Umar is a bomb expert.
