New Delhi: The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has urged the Prime Minister to remove the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, from the Union Cabinet, citing the clear evidence of his involvement in the Epstein files. The statement alleges that despite this evidence, the Union Government has neither sought an explanation nor taken steps to ensure accountability. It also criticises the government for disallowing any discussion on the matter in Parliament and claims that the minister was caught lying during a press conference.

The statement further notes that punitive actions have been taken in several countries in connection with the case, with Prince Andrew arrested and others forced to resign. In light of these developments, the Polit Bureau has demanded Hardeep Singh Puri’s removal from the Cabinet.
