Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Raised Again; Domestic Rates Remain Unchanged

New Delhi: The central government has once again raised the price of commercial LPG cylinders. The 19-kg commercial cylinder has been hiked by ₹42, taking its price in Delhi to ₹3,113.50. The 5-kg free trade LPG (FTL) cylinder has also seen a rise of ₹11, bringing its Delhi price to ₹821.50. Domestic cylinder prices remain unchanged.

This is the second significant hike in commercial LPG rates in quick succession. In early May, prices were raised by as much as ₹993 in a single revision. The repeated increases are hitting hotels, restaurants, bakeries, and canteens hard, compounding an already difficult operating environment.

Oil companies had sharply raised commercial cylinder prices in the wake of state assembly elections. The sector had already been reeling from supply disruptions in LPG imports triggered by the West Asian conflict, and the fresh hike has deepened the crisis for businesses dependent on commercial gas connections.
