Three Accused of Theft Tortured at BJP MLA’s House; Victims Allegedly Hung Upside Down, Given Electric Shocks

Moradabad: Three people were allegedly held captive and brutally tortured at the residence of BJP MLA Sushant Singh in Barhapur after being accused of theft. The victims alleged that they were hung upside down, subjected to electric shocks, beaten with a belt and having salt rubbed into their wounds.

The alleged assault took place after a gold bangle belonging to the MLA’s son went missing. Atul and Lavesh, who worked as domestic help at the house, and their friend Ramu were accused of the theft and subjected to the alleged torture.

All three were admitted to hospital, with Ramu reported to be in critical condition. The police have not registered a case.

The Samajwadi Party has demanded justice for the victims and strict action against those responsible.
