UDF Government Replaces LDF Nominees on Calicut University Syndicate with Year Still Remaining in Term

Kozhikode: The UDF government has replaced the state government's nominees on the Calicut University Syndicate with nearly a year still remaining in their term. Six members nominated by the previous LDF government from various fields of higher education have been removed and replaced with UDF-aligned individuals. The Muslim League and Congress divided the six new nominations equally between them, taking three each.
Those newly nominated are Dr A T Abdul Jabbar (Associate Professor, Farook College), Dr Lakshmi R Chandran (NSS College, Nenmara), Dr Jayson Joseph (Professor, St Joseph's College Devagiri), M Ahmad Kabeer, Dr A K Shahina Mol (Associate Professor, Unity Women's College, Manjeri) and Dr T M Vasudevan (Department of Library and Information Science, Calicut University).
Those removed include Adv P K Khalimuddin, Adv L G Lijeesh, Dr Kavumbayi Balakrishnan, Dr Richard Skaria, Dr T Vasumathi and Dr P P Pradyumnan. Among the newly inducted, Ahmad Kabeer is the standing committee chairman of Kondotty block panchayat and a former MSF district president.
