13 MSF Members Suspended Following Ragging at Kasaragod Govt College; SFI Condemns Incident

Kasaragod: The Students' Federation of India (SFI) has condemned the alleged ragging at a government college in Kasaragod. The organisation said it will strongly oppose those allegedly leading ragging and other disruptive activities at Government College, Kasaragod, claiming that the individuals involved are members of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF).
In a statement, the SFI unit committee said it was condemnable that students who claimed to be part of a responsible student organisation and actively engaged in public life were allegedly involved in such activities.
The organisation said that around 13 MSF activists had been suspended by the college for their alleged role in the ragging incident. According to SFI, those suspended include the MSF unit secretary, president, and the Haritha unit chairperson, calling the action "shocking."
SFI further alleged that MSF members had been leading repeated ragging incidents since classes for first-year students began. It also claimed that victims had been intimidated and discouraged from filing complaints, allowing such practices to continue.
The student organisation said those responsible should be isolated and asserted that it would strongly oppose ragging and intervene to support students who become victims of such incidents.
