Kottayam: The search for RSS leader Nidheesh Muralidharan is ongoing in connection with the death of 26-year-old Anandu Aji, who died by suicide after recording detailed accounts of sexual abuse he faced at an RSS camp. Anandu, a software engineer from Thampalakkad in Kottayam district, was found dead in a lodge at Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram, on October 9. He came from a family long associated with the RSS.

Anandu left behind a 15-page suicide note, shared on Instagram, in which he initially identified an individual by the letters “N M” and accused him of repeated sexual harassment. Later, in a pre-scheduled Instagram video, Aji revealed the name of Nidheesh Muraleedharan, an active RSS leader, and said the abuse began when he was four years old. He stated that the prolonged trauma led to severe mental distress and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). He also described sexual harassment at multiple RSS camps and said children in RSS shakhas and camps face severe abuse. He recorded the testimony specifically so that it would be made public after his death.

Nidheesh has been missing since Anandu’s death a month ago, and investigators believe he may have gone into hiding with the support of RSS leadership. Meanwhile, Sangh Parivar supporters have been attempting to discredit Anandu on social media even after his death.
