UDF Government Creating Frightening Situation for Govt Employees in Keralam: Pinarayi Vijayan

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan has alleged that government employees in Keralam are facing a frightening situation in which even their lives are at risk due to the actions of pro-government organisations and the UDF government.
In a Facebook post, he urged the government to rein in what he described as groups operating with political protection and allegedly targeting government employees.
He alleged that the government was not only taking retaliatory action against permanent employees but was also leaving ordinary temporary workers without jobs. Referring to previous mass dismissals in Kudumbashree and the KSRTC, the senior CPI(M) leader said even teachers who secured appointments through the PSC were now facing termination.
He further alleged that the Chief Minister and the government were adopting a threatening approach towards employees who refused to comply with illegal activities and service organisations that raised their voice for workers' rights.
Pinarayi dismissed allegations that the previous LDF government had denied benefits to government employees as baseless. He said the UDF government was instead pursuing an anti-worker policy by treating employees with hostility and publicly insulting and threatening them.
He called for strong protests against what he described as the government's anti-employee policies and urged people to oppose attempts to intimidate government workers and service organisations.
