Thiruvananthapuram: BJP and RSS workers are now facing a situation so serious that their own organisations have become a threat to their lives, Minister V. Sivankutty said at a press conference. Sexual abuse, financial crimes, and links with the sand mafia involving RSS and BJP leaders are increasingly being exposed before the public.

Within just a few months, BJP and RSS workers who died by suicide had levelled extremely grave allegations against their own leadership. Ananthu from Elikkulam, Kottayam, died by suicide following sexual abuse he had allegedly faced in RSS camps. The suicide of Thirumala Anil — Thiruvananthapuram district general secretary and former councillor — had also sparked major controversy. His suicide note mentioned that the party had abandoned him during a time of crisis, revealing how the BJP leadership treats its own workers. Before these controversies could even subside, RSS worker Anand K. Thampi also died by suicide. Anand ended his life in protest after being denied a party ticket in the upcoming local body elections. In his suicide note, he alleged that he was sidelined by the leadership so they could field the person linked to sand mafia in the elections.

It is certain that the BJP will face a major setback, including in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. The people of Kerala must unitedly reject the politics of communalism and violence," Minister V. Sivankutty said.
