Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar Praises Prabhavathi Amma for Stopping Scooter on Footpath in Kozhikode

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar congratulated Prabhavathi Amma for bravely stopping a scooter rider who was illegally riding on the footpath. He said she did a commendable thing and behaved appropriately toward the scooter rider, who was clearly violating traffic rules. The footpath is meant for pedestrians, not for riding scooters. This, the minister stated, is the right way to respond to such mistakes.
The incident occurred near the traffic signal at Eranjipalam in Kozhikode. While walking along the footpath, Prabhavathi Amma, a native of Chelapuram in Kozhikode, noticed a scooter rider using the footpath to bypass the traffic signal. When the rider attempted to continue forward, she stepped in and tried to stop him. She even blocked the vehicle with her legs. When he still tried to move ahead, she began recording a video of him on her phone. Faced with this, the rider eventually retreated.
A video of the incident, captured by a camera in a nearby building, went viral within minutes. Since then, many people on social media have praised and congratulated her for her courageous action.
