Thiruvananthapuram: When the Perumbalam Bridge, a dream of the people, becomes a reality, the great actor Mammootty extends his congratulations. He said that true development is about finding solutions to the struggles of ordinary people. Just as the arches of the bridge are colored, may the lives of the people of Perumbalam be filled with the colors of a rainbow. - Mammootty conveyed this message of congratulations.

"When two hands join together, it’s not just the distance that changes, but the life of an entire community. Until yesterday, Perumbalam was an isolated island. The anxieties of not reaching the hospital in time when ill, the struggles of not being able to go to work on time, the agonizing moments when even a marriage proposal seemed too far away—those moments of longing and neglect are now coming to an end. The area of my homeland, Chemb, used to be connected by the islands of Arukkutty and Vaduthala with Perumbalam. Now, all of them are one land. The stagnant life will now flow in a new direction, with new colors and new speed... My heartfelt congratulations." - Mammootty said in a voice message.

It is the will of the LDF government that has made the Perumbalam Bridge a reality, a bridge that was once believed to never come to fruition. The bridge, stretching over a distance of more than a kilometer across the Vembanadu Lake, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today. The Perumbalam Bridge, the longest bridge in the state, has been constructed at a cost of 100 crore rupees through KIIFB
