LDF Will Win More Seats in Upcoming Elections, says MV Govindan

Thiruvananthapuram:On Monday, CPI (M) state Secretary M Govindan said LDF will CPI M State Secretary M V Govindan said that the LDF will make significant gains in the upcoming local body elections. He has also informed that most of the candidates have already been finalised. He also added that the front aims to win more seats and local bodies than in the previous election.
LDF Convener T P Ramakrishnan said that LDF is fully prepared for the local body elections. He noted that the achievements of the state government will be highlighted during the campaign, and stressed that the LDF must return to power for the future of Kerala. There are no disputes within the LDF regarding seat-sharing arrangements, he added. He also added that the front is ready to work with individuals leaving other parties if they accept the LDF policies. The convener clarified that there are no secret agreements with anyone, and that the LDF maintains relations only with secular parties, not with communal ones. He also pointed out that both the Welfare Party and the SDPI are allied with the UDF.
Meanwhile, UDF Convener Adoor Prakash said he expects the front to create a favourable image in the elections. Any internal differences that have surfaced will be resolved locally,he said. He added that the public will view the elections as a means to evaluate the government’s performance and that UDF continues to enjoy the trust of the people.
