Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department has forecast extremely heavy to very heavy rainfall across Kerala until Tuesday, driven by the monsoon and the influence of a cyclonic circulation. Red alerts have been issued for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts today, with extremely heavy rainfall — defined as over 204.4 mm in 24 hours — expected in isolated locations.
