Kochi: Kerala Minister P. Rajeev said that an appeal will be filed following the trial court verdict in the actress assault case. “The verdict is not satisfactory. We will discuss with the Director General of Prosecution and take the necessary steps. We will proceed firmly with the appeal,” the minister told reporters.

Commenting on the LDF’s unexpected defeat in the Kochi Corporation elections, Rajeev described it as unanticipated. “The corporation was evaluated as being capable of better governance. We will carefully examine the reasons behind the loss and take corrective measures where needed,” he said.

Rajeev added that the differences between LDF governance and the UDF era are based on facts, and the party will analyze why these achievements did not reach the public effectively. “All necessary assessments will be conducted to return with strong confidence. We will continue to earn the trust of the people,” the minister stated.
