K Sudhakaran Says He Was Unfairly Removed as KPCC Chief, Puts Congress in a Spot

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leader K Sudhakaran has stirred fresh trouble for the party by alleging that he was unfairly removed as KPCC president, expressing his disappointment over the decision. He reiterated his displeasure in an interview with a local television channel in Kannur. Sudhakaran also warned against sacrificing self-respect for power, saying that governments can change.
“What did I get in return when I tried to revive the Congress? I am deeply hurt by the moves made by a group of people to remove me as KPCC president without any reason. Such actions will never benefit the Congress,” Sudhakaran said.
He added that there should be the courage to point out the government’s mistakes from within the ruling side itself.
Sudhakaran had posted a video of the interview on his Facebook page but later deleted it. However, his supporters continue to circulate the video.
Adoor Prakash, the UDF convener, had said recently that Sudhakaran was forced out of the KPCC president’s post. He had also expressed suspicion that attempts might be made to force him out in a similar manner.
