Ambalappuzha: A heated exchange erupted in Alappuzha after newly elected MLA G. Sudhakaran and his wife verbally lashed out at a journalist during a media interaction.

The incident occurred while Sudhakaran was speaking to reporters in Alappuzha. According to those present, neither he nor his wife allowed the journalist to complete the question or even fully explain it before reacting angrily.

As soon as the reporter mentioned the name of U. Prathibha, Sudhakaran interrupted, saying he should not be asked “unnecessary questions.” He went on to accuse the journalist of asking questions after “accepting payment” and spoke to him harshly.

During the confrontation, Sudhakaran’s wife, Jubilee Navaprabha, stepped in and pointed her finger at the journalist, warning him not to go further. When the reporter responded that questioning public figures was part of his job, she allegedly called him “third rate.”

The journalist then challenged her to repeat the remark directly in front of the microphone instead of speaking from behind, but she reportedly declined to do so. Sudhakaran responded by saying it was his house and that the media personnel could leave if they wished.

The MLA also allegedly joined in the verbal attack, saying the journalist was “worse than third rate,” escalating the tense exchange further.
