False Propaganda Against Health Sector for Corporates; Congress Behind Criminal Activity: M. V. Govindan

Thiruvananthapuram: CPIM State Secretary M. V. Govindan stated that the attack on Minister Veena George is a criminal act carried out by the Congress. He said the attack was part of a well-planned conspiracy and told the media that such attempts will be resisted through organised popular resistance.

Kerala's health sector is world-class in every way. There are district hospitals in Kerala capable of conducting organ donation surgeries. If any problems arise, they should be resolved promptly. However, focusing solely on the problems does not accurately reflect the overall state of healthcare in Kerala. People will recognise such attempts made by the UDF to misrepresent the situation.

American corporations are buying hospitals in Kerala with the aim of undermining the state’s healthcare sector. They are acquiring hospitals in major cities like Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kozhikode by investing large amounts of money. He said that the UDF is working for these lobbies and campaigning against the healthcare sector.

The Youth Congress previously attacked the office of the Health Minister and placed a wreath there, and later attacked the minister in Kannur. These are deliberate attacks on the minister. However, the Congress is attempting to lie and evade responsibility. Opposition leader V. D. Satheeshan is conducting rallies solely to spread falsehoods.
