CM and Ministers Interested in Creating Controversies Than Governance, Says E P Jayarajan

Kannur: CPI(M) Central Committee member E P Jayarajan has criticised the state government, saying that the ruling front, the Chief Minister and the ministers appear to be more interested in creating controversies and conflicts than in governance.
He said there is a tendency in Keralam to generate unnecessary controversies.
Referring to the Vizhinjam International Seaport, Jayarajan said dragging the port into controversy and undermining its operations would not benefit the state. He said the state government should focus on ensuring that work at the port is completed expeditiously in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
Jayarajan added that the government should intervene effectively without deviating from the contractual provisions while safeguarding the state's interests. He said ministers should give the matter the attention it deserves and stressed that Keralam's broader public interest must remain the government's priority.
