DYFI Leader James Samuel Files Defamation Case Against MLA G Sudhakaran

Chengannur: DYFI district secretary James Samuel has filed a defamation case against MLA G Sudhakaran over defamatory remarks made by him during Asianet News's "Pole Galaxy" programme on March 28. The case was filed by James Samuel before the Chengannur Judicial First Class Magistrate Court.

James Samuel had earlier informed the media that he would pursue legal action against the remarks, which he termed false and defamatory. A lawyer's notice had been sent to Sudhakaran, but no response was received, following which James proceeded with legal action. The Chengannur Judicial First Class Magistrate Court has ordered notice to be issued to Sudhakaran in the defamation case. Advocate Sreejesh Bonsale appeared on behalf of James Samuel.
