President Díaz-Canel Offers Condolences at Iranian Embassy in Cuba Following Assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei

Havana: President Miguel Díaz-Canel visited the Iranian Embassy in Cuba, where he offered condolences for the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, who was killed in a joint U.S.-Israeli attack. In the condolence book, the president expressed his deep sadness and pain upon learning of the assassination of the Supreme Leader, which he described as a result of a brutal attack by Israel and the U.S. He also stated that Khamenei's assassination was a blatant violation of international law and all norms.
Díaz-Canel expressed that they would remember him as a great statesman and leader of the Iranian people, who made a crucial contribution to the development and unification of the friendly and cooperative relations between their countries. He also conveyed the unity and condolences of the Cuban people and government.
Díaz-Canel was received by the Iranian Ambassador to Cuba, Sabihollah Naderi, at the diplomatic headquarters in Havana. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and the Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Bilateral Affairs Department, Carlos Miguel Pereira Hernández, were also present with him.
