Washington: NASA has announced significant changes to America's lunar exploration plans. The goals have been redefined to ensure a permanent human presence on the Moon, rather than simply landing and returning.

As part of this initiative, a state-of-the-art research station will be established at the South Pole of the Moon. Much like the International Space Station, NASA plans to send humans to the lunar station after six months. To achieve this, rovers and landers will be sent in cooperation with private companies. The decision has been made to carry out missions to the Moon every month starting in 2027.

This massive project, expected to cost around 20 billion dollars, will be implemented in three phases. The first phase will focus on bringing the necessary equipment and rovers to the Moon for testing. The second phase will establish the infrastructure required for astronauts to live there, and the third phase will complete the permanent systems needed for long-term human habitation.

NASA aims to begin primary operations of the station by 2029. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman stated that the new mission is not just about planting a flag or setting foot on the Moon, but about living there.
