Iran Warns Countries of Consequences Over Enforcement of US Sanctions

Tehran: Iran has warned that countries attempting to enforce United States sanctions against Tehran could face serious consequences affecting cargo movement through the Strait of Hormuz.

The warning was issued by Iranian military spokesperson Brigadier General Akrami Nia, who stated that adversaries had failed to achieve any of their objectives during the conflict. According to reports carried by Iran’s official news agency, Nia claimed that hostile forces were unable to weaken the country despite sustained pressure.

He further asserted that the war had not disrupted Iran’s political stability. Instead, he said, it had strengthened national unity and social solidarity within the country. Public demonstrations and support from citizens, he added, reflected the growing sense of unity among Iranians. Nia also argued that opposing forces eventually agreed to a ceasefire after realising that Iran’s resistance could not be broken.

The spokesperson claimed that Iran had used the ceasefire period to further enhance its military capabilities. He said the country had revised its list of strategic targets and upgraded both its defensive and offensive military strategies.

With tensions in the region still high, global attention remains focused on developments around the Strait of Hormuz and the wider West Asia.
