New Delhi: In the wake of Operation Sindoor, India has launched a major diplomatic outreach, dispatching seven multi-party delegations to countries across Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The objective is to present a united national front against cross-border terrorism, with a particular focus on exposing Pakistan’s alleged role in supporting terrorist activities.
One such delegation, led by JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, comprises representatives from across the political spectrum, including CPIM MP John Brittas, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, and BJP MPs Brij Lal and Aparajita Sarangi. After concluding a successful visit to Japan, where John Brittas convened a meeting with the Kerala diaspora in Tokyo, the delegation arrived in South Korea on Saturday. Their itinerary includes visits to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, where they will engage with policymakers and think tanks to reinforce India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.

India, Russia Reaffirm Shared Commitment Against Terrorism
Moscow: The Kanimozhi-led delegation held a series of high -level meetings with key Russian leaders to bolster counter- terrorism cooperation. The delegation first met Mr. Andrey Denisov, First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council’s Committee on International Affairs. Discussions focused on legislative cooperation and the global threat of terrorism, with India citing Operation Sindoor as a key national response.
In a separate engagement with Mr. Leonid Slutsky, Chair of the State Duma’s Committee on International Affairs, both sides reaffirmed the deep-rooted India-Russia relationship. Topics discussed included global security, geopolitical realignments, and the urgent need for credible international frameworks to counter terrorism financing and safe havens.
Further discussions with Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko centered on regional and global developments, where India reiterated its zero-tolerance policy and opposition to nuclear blackmail. The delegation also met with former Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, head of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, to explore joint analytical initiatives targeting radicalisation and state-sponsored disinformation.
These diplomatic missions mark a concerted effort by India to challenge Pakistan’s narrative on the international stage. While India aims to spotlight Pakistan as a state sponsor of terrorism, Islamabad is reportedly engaged in a counter-campaign, portraying India as a regional aggressor and drawing attention to alleged human rights violations in Kashmir.
India’s global outreach highlights the country's determination to rally international support for its anti-terrorism agenda and strengthen partnerships rooted in shared security interests and democratic values.
