Nagoya: India won its seventh gold medal at the Asian Games, with the Indian women's compound archery team clinching gold with a record performance. The Indian team defeated China in the final.


The Indian team comprising Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikita Taniparthi and Preetika Pradeep defeated China 234-228. They reached the final after beating South Korea 234-233.


India is also set for another medal in women's team squash, with Tanvi Khanna and Anahat Singh qualifying for the semifinals. India is currently seventh in the medal tally, with the team hoping to improve its position in the upcoming events.
