India Edge Out the Netherlands by 17 Runs After Spirited Fight

Ahmedabad: India national cricket team won all four of their group-stage matches in the T20 tournament. In the final group game, they defeated the Netherlands national cricket team by 17 runs. The Netherlands fought hard until the last over, but India held their nerve to secure the win.
India posted 196/6 in 20 overs, while the Netherlands finished at 176/7.
After winning the toss, India chose to bat but had a poor start. The team recovered thanks to a brilliant all-round performance from Shivam Dube, who was the star of the match. He scored a half-century and also picked up two wickets. India reached a strong total of 196 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
Indian opener Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for a duck for the third consecutive match. He was followed by Ishan Kishan, who scored 18 runs off 7 balls. As Tilak Varma (31 off 27 balls), who was trying to steady the innings, and captain Suryakumar Yadav (34 off 28 balls) were dismissed, India slipped to 110/4 in 13 overs.
Later, a crucial partnership between Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube brought relief to the team. Dube smashed 66 runs off 31 balls, hitting four fours and six sixes. Pandya contributed 30 runs off 21 balls, while Rinku Singh added six runs from just two balls.
