Nilambur: CPI M State Secretary M V Govindan said the announcement of the LDF candidate for the Nilambur by-election has sparked massive excitement among LDF workers, not just in Nilambur but across Kerala. Speaking at a packed and energetic election convention, he said Nilambur has never seen such a lively and large political gathering before. He urged everyone to turn this enthusiasm into votes on polling day.
“There’s no UDF in Nilambur anymore. That front has fallen apart,” Govindan said. “Now we’re hearing that Anvar might also contest. But we don’t take that seriously. Ever since we cut ties with him, we’ve never looked back. It’s the UDF that still keeps thinking about him. What we’re seeing in Nilambur today is the downfall of both the UDF and Anvar.”He said the LDF is contesting this by-election with a clear political goal, to stand firmly against communal forces and to help build a better, new Kerala.
CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam also spoke at the event and said that the LDF campaign in Nilambur is moving forward like a galloping horse and nothing can stop it. “We won’t stop this political march until we reach our goal. The LDF victory flag will surely be raised on Nilambur’s soil,” he declared.
