Kannur: VK Sanoj, State Secretary of DYFI, has alleged that even the lottery conducted in the name of Wayanad disaster victims was misused for sexual exploitation by members of the Youth Congress. He claimed that funds collected from the public to support the victims of Churalmala were diverted by Rahul Mamkoottathil to manipulate young girls.

According to Sanoj, five thousand rupees collected from a disaster survivor under the pretext of Wayanad relief was transferred to an account belonging to Fenny. He condemned the use of lotteries and gifts to coerce girls as a despicable act.

“There is no excuse for those who organised such shows with sinister intentions while disaster victims were grieving,” Sanoj said. He urged authorities to investigate which flat in Vadakara Rahul invited the girls to and questioned why the Congress leadership protected him.

Sanoj also called for a thorough inquiry into which accounts received the Wayanad disaster relief funds collected by the Youth Congress and the Congress. He added that VD Satheeshan, who allegedly ‘built’ 300 houses for Churalmala–Mundakkai disaster victims in just 30 seconds, and the Youth Congress should spend time accounting for the misappropriated funds.
