LDF Will Return to Power: Vellappally Natesan; Takes Dig at UDF's CM Race

Cherthala: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan has predicted that the LDF will retain power in Kerala, saying the government's work for the poor will be reflected in the results. He expressed confidence that the LDF would return to power with a slender majority, adding that it was both his wish and his belief.

Vellappally took a sharp dig at the UDF's pre-result scramble for the Chief Minister's post, asking what would happen if they actually came to power when this is the state of affairs even before winning. "If the UDF comes to power, there will be infighting from the very next day. There will be quarrels and backstabbing. How many people are competing to become Chief Minister? If this is the situation when they merely sense they might win, what will happen if they actually get to govern?" he asked.
