“Who cares? We care”: Minister Veena George urges women to seek support when in need

Thiruvananthapuram: 'Never give up on life,' urged Minister Veena George as she shared the Women’s Development Corporation helpline number, 181, assuring people that support is always available. She acknowledged that many may face bitter experiences, whether from those they trust or others, but emphasised the importance of not losing hope.

“Face challenges head-on instead of retreating. If words turn into threats or blackmail, or if one faces physical or sexual abuse, it can be confronted and overcome. When someone says ‘who cares,’ we say, ‘we care,’” Veena George wrote on Facebook. Her post came in the wake of serious allegations made today against Rahul Mamkootathil.
